Pour cet altar/tea cloth, j’ai filé le lin (cultivé en France et Belgique) du fil de trame, ce qui donne cette charmante irrégularité. Les fils ont ensuite été teints avec du brou de noix et des racines de garance que j’ai ramassés. Cet altar/tea cloth est idéal pour les moments méditatifs et spirituels. On peut par exemple l’utiliser pour la cérémonie du thé, ou simplement y poser un vase, un livre, une bougie ou un objet précieux pour créer un moment de sérénité.
Chaîne + trame : lin + lin filé à la main (par moi)
Lavage : eau froide à la main. Si nécessaire, utiliser lessive neutre.
Compter 1-3 cm de rétrécissement après le premier lavage. Il devient aussi plus souple.

For this altar/tea cloth, I spun the flax (cultivated in France and Belgium) for the weft, which gives this charming irregularity. Then I dyed it with walnut hulls and madder roots that I harvested. This altar/tea cloth is ideal for meditative and spiritual moments. You can use it for tea ceremony or simply put a vase, a book, a candle or a cherished object on it to enjoy a moment of serenity.
Warp + weft: linen + handspun linen (by me)
Gently hand wash with cold water. If necessary, use neutral detergent.
1-3 cm of shrinkage after the first wash. It also becomes more flexible.
